Paul Lisak & After The Ice, saturday 2nd of April

Paul Lisak & After The Ice opened the festival on launch night, Friday 1st April, at the Pointe de Nyon above Morzine: a uniquely wild mountain setting!

The next day, Saturday 2nd April, the British group transferred to the top of Pleney in Morzine in blazing sunshine. There's no doubt the group's rock vibes were a hit with all those who came to see the gig and experience this new live music event.

The concept, the setting and the chilled atmosphere also won over Paul Lisak & After The Ice, who told the audience at the end of their set: "See you guys next year, same place!"

Keziah Jones, 2nd of April

It's unlikely any of the 3 000 skiers and boarders present will forget seeing Keziah Jones play on a mountainside on a perfect day...at 1 900m! It was a first for the singer and for festival-goers who had come en masse to give the gig the thumbs up with its sun, ski and blue-funk vibe.

The festival also saw Keziah Jones getting a taste for mountain pastimes, with a helicopter ride and snow scooter transfer...
And if we're to believe his manager, Jones has already put his name down to come back in 2012!

Guillaume Grand, Monday 4th of April

Guillaume Grand, best known for his hit "Toi et Moi", played in Les Gets' salle de la Colombière. Residents and holidaymakers came to make the most of his warm and friendly style.

After the gig, Grand said he was impressed with the festival concept and looked forward to coming back next year so he could perform on the slopes.

Joyce Jonathan, tuesday 5th of Arpil

Joyce Jonathan stopped off at the Go Wild Festival to perform in the great outdoors setting of Les Lindarets in Montriond. Lots of skiers came to see the singer, who heard her ballads sung before she was due on stage by the Portes du Soleil's schoolchildren to celebrate Children's Day.

After the concert, Jonathan was kept busy by plenty of young fans desperate for her autograph! Clearly delighted with the rugged outdoor setting, the young singer also looked happy with the excellent atmosphere and the warm welcome she received.

Jamaica

Jamaica played in Les Crosets near the snowpark, putting on a stunning gig slap bang in front of the Dents du Midi. A pure pulsating live rock sound in an exceptional setting!

Fans loved the fun, offbeat vibe at the heart of the Portes du Soleil's peaks. And so did Jamaica! The duo was blown away by the setting, the concept and the welcome...so we're delighted to announce they want to come back next year for another Go Wild gig!

Joane Calice, wednesday 6th of April

Joane Calice played at the top of the Stade chairlift in Avoriaz this morning. Opening her Go Wild concert with new tracks from her album "Lentas", the singer soon upped the tempo with a series of English rock ballads.

There's no doubt Calice is a class act, perhaps thanks to experience gained playing with celebrated English guitarist Mickey Finn. Shen certainly impressed the audience with her powerful voice and husky sound.

Madalena, wednesday 6th of April

This was a really special gig for Madalena...as well as getting the chance to play right at the heart of the ski slopes in the Portes du Soleil, the singer unveiled tracks from her album "L'invitation au voyage" for the first time.

The French-Portuguese singer's totally energising dance melodies immediately caught the audience's imagination and ensured a brilliant atmosphere for the duration of her gig. After two encores, Madalena finally left the stage full of good spirits and happy memories of her Festival debut!

Inna Modja, Thursday 7th of April

Inna Modja was the first artist to sign for the Go Wild Outdoor Music Festival. As early as September 2010, she was won over by the concept and let us know that she wanted to take part. Her enthusiasm was mirrored by the public, who gave her a cracking Portes du Soleil welcome!

Thanks to Modja's easy way with the crowd, she had no trouble letting everyone know how happy she was to perform in the mountains, and they responded in kind!

Tafta, Friday 8th of April

One of Switzerland’s premier bands touched down in Les Crosets for a totally wild concert that will be remembered for its distinctly summery feel! Fans old and new sang their hearts out to the band’s best-known hits, egged on by Tafta’s massive stage energy and presence. A truly “formidable” giant barbeque was on offer thanks to the Swiss host resorts, so skiers and boarders could enjoy their first hotdogs of the year with snow still underfoot!

For their part, Tafta thought it was a cracking idea to play a gig on the ski slopes, especially with such a warm welcome.

BB Brunes, Saturday 9th of April

The inaugural Go Wild Outdoor Music Festival had a fitting end with BB Brunes playing Plaine Dranse in Châtel. About 2 000 people came to see the band, who played for more than an hour. What's more, BB Brunes chose the Festival to unveil some new tracks for the very first time in front of a live audience.

After the gig was over the band left the stage to massive applause, which along with the great atmosphere and memorable setting obviously won them over. "We'll be back, they said!
