Stories and games with pebbles [location of your choice].

  • Children will listen to the story of two pebbles, then take part in workshops to reconstruct part of the story.

  • The activity will take place in two stages:
    1 - A short walk punctuated by stops to observe the rocks and listen to their story: cliffs, angular boulders, rounded pebbles... where do they come from? How do they move? Why do they have these different shapes? Students will then play games to piece together the story.
    2 - Fun workshops, in small groups (one adult per group required): build the tallest pile of pebbles; reconstruct a miniature river using pebbles and other natural elements;...
    The activity will take place in two stages:

    The activity can be postponed in case of bad weather, or it can be carried out under a large, sheltered shelter (in this case, no walk, just stories and workshops).
    The activity can start from the school, if there's a nearby area with rocks (a quarry or former river deposit), a small river and a viewpoint over a cliff.
    What to bring: shoes and clothing suited to walking and weather conditions (sneakers, boots).
