By road
In the heart of the Alps between Lake Geneva and Mt Blanc, the Portes du Soleil area is conveniently located just an hour from Geneva, while also being easily accessible and within easy reach of all major European cities.
In France, the A40 goes to the foot of the Portes du Soleil's peaks and to within 30 minutes of the resorts.
In Switzerland, the A9 to Vionnaz or Monthey brings visitors to within 20 minutes of the Portes du Soleil's -Valais- villages-resorts.
By train
Fast rail access to the resorts is provided by the TGV and TGV Lyria service, which stops at several French and Swiss railway stations (SNCF and CFF) :
- Bellegarde, Cluses et Thonon-les-Bains (France)
- Genève, Lausanne, Montreux and Aigle (TGV Lyria and RegioExpress)
A regular shuttle service is provided to take tourists to the heart of the resorts.
By plane
The Portes du Soleil area is located just an hour from Geneva International Airport.
The airport is used by 49 airlines (Easy Jet flies in from 40 European cities) and sees 388 flights a day.
After touchdown, shuttles will take you to your resort in 1 hour.
